Men at Arms
All I can say is that Men at Arms is the second book in the Watch series, and that I am reading it for the first time. I am going in blind, so there’s really not much more to it than that.
Oh, spectacular. Good enough to be my first book consumed in under two weeks in quite some time. In fact, I was quite close to consuming it in under one week, but I ended up being too busy at key moments of the past few days and ended up not managing it.
The Watch series is seriously shaping up to be some of my favorite installments in Discworld. The particular humor and references hit just right, and they have been serving as legitimately gripping mysteries. The twists are alluded to in missable details, just the way I like it, and there’s suspense up until a very satisfying ending.
I can’t wait to see where this story goes next, with Feet of Clay.
